Hello and welcome to GADS.
We are a drama group based in Grundisburgh and have been running since 1978. We usually put on a play in late May or early June each year and a Pantomime at the end of January or early February.
We’re a very social group and as a member of GADS you can join us for a summer BBQ and a Christmas meal or party. We often run other events throughout the year.
We meet most Wednesdays at the new Village Hall from 7.30 p.m., taking a short break in July and August for the summer holidays. Children’s rehearsals will generally start at 6.30 p.m.
Annual membership fees as at April 2022 are £15 for adults (18 and over) and £10 for children. This fee is to cover our insurance costs and will be due as soon as it has been confirmed that your audition was successful and you will be performing in a GADS production. We can accept cash, cheque or card payments.
If your audition isn’t successful but you would still like to become a member of GADS there are other roles that you may wish to help with such as Front of House, Production roles, Chaperones etc. Alternatively, you may wish to support the group by becoming a Patron. The annual fee for this is £15.
If you are going to be taking part in a GADS production, we would ask you to attend as many rehearsals as possible. In particular, you will be required to attend the technical and dress rehearsals just prior to performances. Dates and times of these will be given to you by the Director or Producer of the current Production.
